The following is a letter I wrote to Sen. Feinstein in January 2014. Especially notice what I predicted for the Democrat Party toward the end. I do not pretend to be a prophet but I do know what the American people think about our government and the direction they are taking.
Sen. Diane Feinstein January 6, 2014
331 hart Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20510
I am writing to you about an article I read last May in which you were photographed with a group of, I assume supporters, holding an AK-47 rifle. Apparently you were trying to demonstrate how dangerous this rifle was and that it should be banned.
First of all, the AK-47 is an easily obtainable rifle because it is legal to own and is fun to shoot. It can be used for range shooting, hunting and if necessary home defense as can any rifle or pistol of any caliber that is available to the public. This rifle, like all firearms sold in the United States, only shoots one bullet at a time when you pull the trigger. Of course you already know that.
The ammunition drum attached to the rifle, although impressive, is not the choice of hardly anyone who owns one of these rifles. It is awkward and expensive to purchase costing over $100 in most instances from a supplier. Very few suppliers even sell them because of that.
In addition you broke several safety rules and a law by bringing this rifle to this meeting. If the meeting was in the senate building you are not lawfully able to carry such a rifle into the District of Columbia. Of course you know that also but apparently think since you are a senator you are above the law.
If you have ever taken a gun safety course, which I doubt, you would not have displayed in rifle as you did. You display your ignorance by the way you are holding the rifle. First, you never carelessly point the rifle as you have here unless you were planning on shooting someone to your left side. It should be pointed to the ceiling. Second, the one absolute rule in gun handling is that you NEVER put your finger on the trigger unless you are intending on shooting someone or something.
Lastly, you have broken your oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States since you are more than willing to flush the Second Amendment down the drain by your singular stance. You ought to be ashamed and either give an honest apology to the American people for your mistaken stand or resign never to hold any public office again.
In any case we the American people will never surrender any of our Constitutional rights regardless of what you and people like Michael Bloomberg believe. Neither you, nor he with all his wealth, has the right to try to take those rights away. What is going to happen is what you and all others like you have done through stands like this, and passing laws like the Affordable Care Act, the Democratic Party is going to be greatly diminished November 4, 2014. You have no idea what you have stirred up in the American people and we are tired of it.
